Fall Finishes

In the early hours of a fall morning as the rising sun lit the tree-tops, a rainbow arched across the sky and I was lucky enough to be outside at the time to witness the beauty. Nature is the world’s best artist.

As well as admiring the views on the farm, I’ve succeeded in finishing one of my WIPS this fall – this cute Wee Hieland Coos bookmark was in my work-basket for well over a year before recently joining my small collection of bookmarks.  This is a Textile Heritage cross-stitch kit.

The Brodeuse Bressane SAL is complete, and I have stitched the entire design but I’m not yet finished as I plan to stitch it two more times, and then make it into a table topper. This is a beautiful design, and I thoroughly enjoyed participating in the SAL. The link will take you to the designer’s website, where you can see a slideshow of the group’s work!

Another WIP still in my work-basket is my own blackwork design, a mosaic bookmark. I stitched one version of the bookmark in this gorgeous silk floss called Berry Burst, which is hand-dyed by Fiberlicious Yummy Fibers. SO MANY colours! Oh my gosh, it’s pretty!

Now I’m trying to choose colours for a second bookmark. This design will offer several fill patterns to choose from. My Fiberlicious floss stash has so many pretty combinations that it’s really hard to choose! What colours would you stitch with?
