Our lacework sampler is looking very lacy and dainty with the second and third bands added. I am reminded of the doilies that mom crochets. 🙂

Are you using variegated thread or switching colours?
I’m using a variegated silk floss by Silks4u. I love variegated – all the colours without switching threads all the time 🙂
Silks4u can be found here: https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/196349863/stranded-silk-full-hank-item-number-a125?ref=shop_home_feat_2
That thread is beautiful, but does that mean you’re stitching each stitch individually instead of it rows?
Yes, that’s right, each stitch is stitched individually so that the colour changes flow well.
